Industry Vistara leases 15 new A320neo Family aircraft from ALC
Leasing company Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has announced, that carrier Vistara will lease 15 additional A320neo Family aircraft.
The long-term lease agreements include nine Airbus A320-200neos and six A321-200neos, bringing the total of aircraft leased to 15. With the new aircraft in its fleet, Vistara hopes to enhance both operational performances and passenger experiences.
ALC stated, that the A320neo aircraft will be delivered between the first quarter of 2021 and 2022. All A320neos will be powered by CFM56 LEAP-1A engines. Currently, Vistara has nine A320neos in its fleet, with most of them being leased from BOC Aviation.
The A321neos will be delivered to the carrier between the first quarters of 2020 through 2021. All 15 aircraft will be delivered from ALC´s order book with Airbus.

With the new aircraft, Vistara furthermore underlines its ambitions to grow. During the Farnborough International Air Show 2018, the carrier announced that it will order 13 A320neo Family and six Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. All additions will densify the carrier´s network and support its international operation plans.
Vistara is known as Indian domestic airline, which is based in Gurgaon. The main operational base is located at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Vistara was founded in 2013 and commenced operations two years later. The current all-Airbus fleet consists of eight A320neos and 13 A320ceos. The full-service airline is a joint venture of TATA Sons Ltd. and Singapore Airlines Ltd.
