Airbus has announced that Golden Falcon Aviation, the exclusive aircraft provider of Wataniya airways has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 25 Airbus A320Neo.

Industry ALAFCO finalizes order for 20 Boeing 737 MAX 8s

Boeing and ALAFCO Aviation Lease and Finance Company (ALAFCO) finalized an order for 20 additional 737 MAX 8s at the 2017 Dubai Airshow, doubling the lessor's order book for the MAX airplane. Kuwait-based ALAFCO now has 40 737 MAXs on order. The deal, valued at $2.2 billion at current list prices, was announced as a commitment at the Paris Air Show.

Industry Emirates announce commitment to purchase 40 B787-10 Dreamlliners

Boeing and the Gulf Carrier Emirates announced a commitment to purchase 40 787-10 Dreamliners at the 2017 Dubai Airshow. The deal, including airplanes and related equipment, is valued at $15.1 billion at current list prices.

Industry Azerbaijan Airlines and Boeing sign agreement on purchase for 5 B787 Dreamliners

Boeing and Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) announced an order for five more 787-8 Dreamliners and a commitment to purchase two large freighters. The agreement, announced at the 2017 Dubai Air Show, is valued at about $1.9 billion at current list prices. The freighter commitment will be finalized at a later time.

Industry CDB Aviation and Boeing finalize order for 60 aircraft

Boeing and CDB Aviation finalized an order for 42 737 MAX 8s, 10 737 MAX 10s and eight 787-9 Dreamliners. The order, valued at $7.4 billion at current list prices, was announced as a Memorandum of Understanding at the 2017 Paris Air Show.

Industry Emirates welcomes the 100th A380 aircraft to its fleet

On November 3, 2017 Airbus delivered the delivery of the 100th A380 to Emirates. Emirates is the world’s largest operator of A380 aircraft. The official ceremony at the manufacturer’s delivery centre in Hamburg was officiated by Chief Executive and Emirates Chairman Sheik Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum. He called the delivery a “tremendous moment for Emirates, Airbus and the many partners involved in the A380 program”.

Industry European customer orders 31 C-Series

A European airline has signed a letter of intent (LOI) to order 31 C-Series aircraft, with options for additional 30 aircraft. The deal will be agreed by the end of this year.

Industry Embraer and American Airlines sign a contract for ten E175s

Embraer and American Airlines signed a firm order for ten E175 jets. American Airlines is exercising its purchase rights from its original contract with Embraer signed in 2013. This new order is in addition to the one placed in April for four aircraft. The contract is valued at USD 457 million, based on current list prices, and will be included in Embraer’s fourth-quarter backlog. Deliveries will begin in 2018 and continue through mid-2019.

Industry AirAsia has taken delivery of the first Airbus A320Neo assembled in Tianjin

AirAsia has received the first A320Neo, assembled at the Airbus Assembly Line Asia (FALA) in Tianjin, China. The low cost carrier and Airbus celebrated the arrival with a traditional ceremony. AirAsia already operates A320Neo aircraft from European final assembly lines.

Industry New Airbus A330Neo successfully completes maiden flight

On Thursday, October 19, 2017, the new Airbus A330-900Neo has completed its maiden flight. The aircraft has landed at Toulouse Blagnac Airport successfully after completing its first test flight which lasted for four hours and 13 minutes in total.

Industry Embraer confirmed the delivery date of the first E190-E2 to Widerøe

The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer confirmed in Athens, Greece that the delivery of the first E190-E2 to Scandinavian regional airline Widerøe is scheduled for April 2018. During the annual general meeting of the European Regional Airline Association (ERA), Embraer announced the news and the plan of delivering the first new generation aircraft in early 2018. Widerøe’s E190-E2 will be configured with a single-class cabin with 114 seats.

Industry Airbus takes majority in Bombardier's CSeries

Airbus and Bombardier are to become partners on the CSeries aircraft programme. A corresponding agreement was signed on Monday. The European multinational aircraft manufacturer acquires a 50,01% stake in CSeries Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP). Bombardier and Investissement Québec (IQ) will own approximately 31% and 19% respectively.

Industry Indian Jet Airways to order 75 Boeing 737 Max 10

Jet Airways has announced to order 75 new aircraft of the type Boeing 737 MAX 10, with an option for additional 74 aircraft. This order is a follow up for an already existing order of 75 smaller 737 Max 8s. The deal has a value of approximately 9 billion USD, according to current list prices. Significant rebates are, however, common when facing orders of this size.

Industry Turkish Airlines announces intent to order 40 787-9 Dreamliners

Boeing and Turkish Airlines announced the airline's intention to order 40 787-9 Dreamliner. When finalized, the order would be valued at almost $11 billion before the customary discounts for large aircraft purchases.

Industry Malaysia Airlines signs MOU for 16 Boeing aircraft

Malaysia Airlines Berhad and Boeing have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for 16 airplanes during a ceremony at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington D.C.. The announcement includes eight 787-9 Dreamliners by converting eight of Malaysia Airlines' existing order of the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and eight additional purchase rights of the 737 MAX 8s.

Industry Airbus delivers its 100th A350

Airbus has delivered its 100th A350 XWB, just some 30 months after the first delivery in December 2014. The 100th aircraft delivered is an A350-900 for China Airlines. Airbus has delivered 36 A350 in 2017.

IAG has announced it has ordered three Airbus A330-200 for its long-haul low cost subsidiary Level. The aircraft will be delivered in summer 2018.

Industry Aeroflot signs firm order for 20 additional Sukhoi Superjet 100

Aeroflot and United Aircraft Cooperation have signed a firm order for 20 Sukhoi Superjet aircraft. The signing ceremony took place on the opening day of the MAKS-2017 International Air Show in the presence of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
