Air Mediterranean, which commenced operations in November, has now ceased operations as data from the flight monitoring software Flighradar24 shows. Both Boeing 737-400 have not operated flights in the last days. Flights are no longer bookable on the website.

The airline has begun to connect its hub Athens with Stockholm, London-Stansted and Larnaca. In addition to European flights, the carrier offered services to Baghdad, Casablanca, Jeddah and Khartoum. Additional services to Beirut, Kuwait and the Iraqi city Najaf were planned. It was planned to establish a hub in Athens for connection flights between its European and Middle East destinations.

The carrier has not confirmed the cease of operations on its website or social media accounts. Air Mediterranean received its AOC in January 2017 after the acquisition of a first Boeing 737. Both Boeing 737-400 were configured with 168 seats in a single class configuration.

It is currently unclear if Air Mediterranean will recommence operations or focus on another business model. In December, CEO Fadi Hallak planned to acquire additional Boeing 737 aircraft.
