Start-Ups Azur Air receives two Boeing 737-900ER

Azur Air will receive two Boeing 737-900ER until March. Both aircraft will be based in Düsseldorf, where the airline has its German operational base.

Azur air Germany´s first Boeing 737-900ER is planned to arrive mid-February in Düsseldorf, while the second jet will arrive until March. Both aircraft already wear their German registrations D-AZUF and D-AZUG and received their livery. The approval to operate the aircraft is yet to be remitted by the Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics (LBA).

Starting from summer flight schedule, Azur air Germany will use the Boeing 737´s in the Short- and Mid-haul segment. The aircraft can seat 215 passengers in a 3-3 seating configuration.

Alper Altun, chief executive Azur air Germany said: “We are delighted, that our fleet is growing in March. With both Boeing 737-900ER, we are able to expand our capacities on Short- and Mid-haul and, together with our event´s partners, are able to enhance our product for our clients.”

Azur air Germany is a German charter airline, which was founded in April 2016. The airline is a subsidiary of the Russian Azur Air. Azur air Germany received its AOC in June 2017 and since then transported over 30.000 passengers. The airline has its base in Düsseldorf, Germany, and currently offers flights to holiday destinations with three Boeing 767-300ER.
