UAV Airbus, EASA and CAAS collaborate to advance UAV safety

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and Airbus have agreed to collaborate to advance UAV safety in urban environments.

Airports Singapore Airport tests smart digital tower

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has announced a cooperation with the UK-based air traffic management provider NATS. This contract has a value of around seven million US dollar and includes the development of a prototype for a smart digital tower which should go into testing on Singapore’s Changi airport over a period of 22 months. CAAS plans to evaluate the operational feasibility before determining the suitability and robustness of such a smart digital tower for a busy airport like Changi Airport.
