The young Malaysian airline FlyGlobal, a Charter wet lease/ACMI operator, has announced plans to expand its existing fleet by up to ten Boeing 777-200ER by 2021. FlyGlobal’s CEO Shami Law stated the aircraft should be leased to different interested companies.
Malaysia Airlines Berhad and Boeing have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for 16 airplanes during a ceremony at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington D.C.. The announcement includes eight 787-9 Dreamliners by converting eight of Malaysia Airlines' existing order of the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and eight additional purchase rights of the 737 MAX 8s.
The Malaysian low cost carrier AirAsia is planning to enter China, one of the last untapped markets for LCC in Asia. China Everbright Group, the Henan Working Group and AirAsia have announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding to establish a low-cost carrier in China as a joint venture.
